States Five Through Eight, USA

Week two of our road trip has come to an end and we’ve been able to explore four more states!

Matt and I have been on many road trips and many of them have had us pass through Idaho to our destination. Unfortunately each time we’ve passed through the state it’s been late at night and we haven’t been able to take in the beauty that is Idaho! Gosh, guys let me tell you this state is so dang cute! We were able to explore Boise and Twin Falls. In Boise we hiked Camel’s Back Park and wandered around town and in Twin Falls we spent some time admiring Shoshone Falls!

Salt Lake brought the most excitement for us this week for two reasons…Antelope Island and In-n-Out! Antelope island is just a few miles from Salt Lake City and there are free roaming Buffalo, Antelope and various other animals, this experience was definitely the most memorable!

Cheyenne was such a pleasant surprise for us because throughout our drive from Utah to Wyoming from we saw miles upon miles of green fields with wild deer but not a whole lot more than that. But once we arrived in Cheyenne we were greeted with the cutest little western town full of giant 8 foot painted cowboy boots! We spent our day walking around town finding different boots and taking in all of the wonderful old town vibes.

It has been so great being able to see Denver in the midst of summer! Honestly Matt and I are not snow people, we are beach people but we love the beauty of Colorado and want to experience the joys of winter activities for a few years. That being said we are so happy to be able to experience Colorado in the summer to be able to have the prospective of both seasons.

Annette and Matt

This sounds lovely. I can’t wait to see them for myself.
